MIC While On Probation For DUI In Idaho

I got a DUI a year and a half ago but wasnt sentenced until march so I am still on unsupervised probation. I recently received an MIC after a large party was busted. I go to school in another state and would like to avoid jail time at all costs. I have heard that i may be able to get a bond forfeiture and pay a large fine. What exactly is a bond forfeiture and if I dont receive it what kind of penalties am i looking at, should i hire a lawyer? thanks
