Child Custody - Author is the child
You get lots of items a day pertaining to problems far more important then mine so just get to it when u have the time.
This is very unusual compared to the rest of the posts I have seen in this forum. This being that I am the one needing the legal advice and the subject of a badly decided custody battle between my parents. I feel this was badly decided because the guardian atlittem did not fullfil his duties as representing the children as a whole. Children said one thing and atlittlem said a completly seperate thing. I am 16 my sister 12. Emancipation is not an option in my state unless I have two rings and a tuxedo and I really don't feel like doing that. So I was wondering what I could do at moving with the adjoining noncustodial parent seeings how I know there has to be something that the children can do especially if the child feels that the court did not place their decision in the interest of the child. Custodial parent will not sign anything partaining to the situation to release children to nocustodial parent and does not place her feelings in the best interest of the child also. Or they do and they are just placing it wrongly.
Simply stated I just wanted to know what my next step would be living in Ohio.
Second-Guessing Court Decision - Ohio Custody
Unfortunately, the children don't get to second-guess the court following a custody decision. Which means that the recourse is to have a parent, to the extent possible, petition for a modification of custody (or mutually agree with the other parent to modify custody).
