Probation Violation Over Back Child Support
I was put on probation for back child support in the state of tx last year. I ended up having to move out of state and continued my reporting until finances would not permit. My probation officer told me they couldn't transfer the case to the new state so I ended up violating. My question is, when the balance is payed in full will the probation be dropped? Can I return to Tx then? If I return before the balance is payed just to visit, will I be arrested? Will my liscense be reinstated when the balance is payed?
Re: Probation Violation Over Back Child Support
You can't count on the probation violation being dropped just because you pay off your arrearage. If this was a criminal non-support case, consult a criminal defense lawyer about the best way to resolve the probation violation.
If you have a warrant, you risk being arrested on the warrant. If your license is suspended, you have to resolve the basis for the suspension and seek reinstatement of your license.
