Caught Shoplifting At Macys In New York
    First time and never again.
I've got caught shoplifting at Macys in NY.
Macys forced me to sign papers which was admiting shoplifting.
Macys told me I must pay USD 500.00 which I paid and never come back in 7 yrs. Then Macys turned me over to police.
I've admitted shoplifting and received community services.

    My questions:
What does it mean by sealed? And, will my case be sealed?
Can I get copy of court proceedings or trail?
How my admission to shoplifting will effect my future life?
Can anyone get access to my case?
How can I get copy of document which I signed at Macys?
Do I needed to pay USD 500.00 eventhough I was turned over to police?
Not returning to stores for 7 yrs. Can Macys do that?

    Scared and Worried

Did the judge order it sealed? If not no its not sealed and there would be no reason to seal it unless your a minor and maybe not even then

See if the court has a website you might get it there or ask your Attorney. Why do you need this?

Admission at store? means nothing really but a conviction goes on your record. Have you been to court or do you have a court date?

If you have been to court its a public record unles again if your a minor but a background check will still show it

You can request it during discovery but its uncertain (based on your posts) if you have gone to court or if case is over.

Yes if you do not fee will rise maybe triple an dif you still dont pay they can sue you in court (and win) they fee will rise again and you could be held accountable for court costs and legal fees

They sure can and if you enter Macy's (any macys) and are cought you can be arrested for tresspassing

I, not only to store, made an admission at the Arraignment and received community services. There was no trial.

Will this count as conviction and be public record?

I just wanted to have copies for my personal record.

    Thank you for response.

You gave few details but yes sounds as if you were convicted meaning you now have a criminal record
