Child Support Indictment
I live in England and when my ex sent the Ohio court ordered child support paperwork for collection here (not to me, to the child support agency), I went to court and explained that my circumstances had changed and the English court lowered the amount payable.
Back in 1998 I learned through the media that I had been indicted for failure to pay child support even though I was paying (since fully paid up). My question is: what is the statute of limitations on an indictment? I've never even seen the paperwork, never been sent any documents.
If I were to return to the US would I be arrested on this 7 year old indictment?

Indictment in Ohio
A criminal statute of limitations typically stops running once charges are formalized - so it is likely that the passage of time has no relevance to the validity of the indictment.
You may wish to consider having a lawyer in the Ohio county at issue contact the prosecuting authority which obtained the indictment, to see if the charge is still pending and, if so, how you might get it dismissed.
