Will My Record Erase When I Turn 18
I am 17 years old and recently got caught shoplifting. My court date is in a few weeks. Im wondering if I am convicted if it will be a misdemeanor and if it will erase or anything from my record when I turn 18. Or is there anything I can do to help my record?

As I stated in your other thread, no.

But I heard it can be sealed when I turn 18 so when background checks are done it will not show up.

What is the deal with this?

Aaron is an Attorney he knows what he is talking about. If you choose to not believe this you have the option of consulting another Attorney

As I stated in your other thread, in Michigan at 17 you are prosecuted as an adult in the criminal courts, and you get an adult criminal record. If you have read somewhere that your adult criminal record will disappear when you turn 18, you were reading about a state other than Michigan.
