Banned Pet Breeds But No Official List, in Alabama
I received a notice from my rental agency that a puppy I am temporarily housing is a banned breed. They listed the puppy as a pit bull, and I just called and informed them that the puppy was actually a boxer. The person in the office said she thought that was a banned breed as well. When I asked for an official list of banned breeds (because there wasn't one when I moved in years ago), she said, "We don't have a list." When I asked if it was just a include-them-as-you-go list, she said yes and said it wasn't on paper.

Don't they HAVE to put that type of thing on paper, and even include it with the lease?

What does your lease actually state about pets?

The last lease I signed said NOTHING about banned breeds or pet violations. It has the normal statement about pets (size, fee, picking up after them).

I have no way of knowing what you think is "normal" for a lease. Share the language, or run it past a lawyer.
