Caught Shoplifting At Wal-Mart In Georgia
Hi, I am 18. I was caught shoplifting $8 of make-up at Wal-Mart in Georgia. I will not lie and say this was my first time shoplifting, but this was the first time I was caught, and probably the most expensive thing I ever really stole from there. I of course am banned from Wal-Marts everywhere and am awaiting my January 10 court date. At Wal-Mart they said they have seen me several times and have been watching me. Will I be charged for these also?

I am wondering what my punishment will more than likely be. Frankly, I will take anything other than jail time, but of course I will do jail time if that's what is required. How common is it for something like this to result in jail time? What will my charges more than likely be?

    Thanks!

We have no way of knowing what punishment or charges will be as you state there ar eother thefts they "might" add. Suffiuce it to say on 1st offense your looking at

    probation
    fines
    community service

    and of course Civil Demand

I'm sorry, I meant to ask, is it likely they will go back and try to prove these things that they said I did? I don't think they will as they have no proof other than video, and the other times I actually did shoplift (twice) were spread out over the last two years...that seems ridiculous.
