I Want My Friend's Stuff Out Of My Basement
HI,
Here is the scenario, My spouse and I live in Calfornia, our friend is preparing to move out of state next week. She has been staying with us for 3 weeks rent and obligation free until she moves to New York. Her belongings are all over the basement. She was supposed to use the shelving WE purchased and organize her belongings for storage while she relocates to New York. She is then to remove her belongings within 6 months out of our basement. This was all a verbal agreement.
Now, she has not organized them, they are all over the basement and now she is preparing to leave it as is. I basically want her stuff out of our house since she is not completing her end of the verbal agreement. Can I just put it out to curb once she leaves if she doesn't get it organized? I already verbally told her this last night. :wallbang: Is there some sort of written notice I need to give her? Thanks

You can serve her with a formal eviction (unlawful detainer) form, which you can download here.
