    If anyone can give me a link to the offical law of this in the state of Texas or tell me where I can find it besides going to a lawyer it would be much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has responded.

    There is no written law stating that a minor can move out at the age of 17.

    They are considered an adult at the age of 18 and can leave without parental consent.

    If the police choose not to force a 17 year old runaway to be returned home, that would be a department policy, but that does not make it a law.

    Yes I have, But I wuold like to see sometihing from the books that states anything about when nit is fully legal to move out for your parents home.

    I understand that. But I still want to see or find a written document of a law that states this.

    For what purpose? Age of majority is 18 everyone knows this ther is no loophole

    See The Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, § 129.001:
