Emancipation In Florida

i have been looking into this emancipation thing and i really wanted some help with it. i am 16, and i am coming from a very abused life. i am constantly carted around family members. my mom is nuts and i dont think there is one time where we can just get along. she is abusive, physically as well as mentally. she is an alchoholic, she dosnt work, and she dosnt have a stable place to live. she left me basically homeless at 15 for 4 months. i want to live on my own, support myself. i think that i have grown alot and that i would be able to do it. my grandmother is there for me... but she is not my leagle gaurdian. and i really just want to take care of myself.

i am wondering, dose a stable family member interfere with the emancipation process? and do i need to have a stable place to live by myself or can i life with someone. and what if that person dose not live on their own currently? do i HAVE to have her consent if she is obviously unstable?

i dont want to move out just because im a teenager and dont get along with my mother.. i think it seriously is time. i am tired of having to be pushed around between family members and all that.

In Florida, the only way you can possibly be emancipated is if your parents file the petition for you. It WILL NOT HAPPEN otherwise. (It's not guaranteed it they do, but if they won't, that's it. Period. Not gonna happen.)

so but if i get my mother to do that is it mo problem? and what about the housing situations?

You must include with your petition "A statement of the minor's character, habits, education, income, and mental capacity for business, and an explanation of how the needs of the minor with respect to food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and other necessities will be met."

If your being abuse a call to CPS might meet your needs better than emancipation which has a very low success rate and can take months

okay.. and about how will it take for me to be abl eto move out? i would like to as soon as possible.

what about all this in the state of Pennsylvania?

will that let me be completly away from her an on my own?

If you become a ward of the court due to abuse and/or neglect, the court will decide where you live.
