In Florida, the only way you can possibly be emancipated is if your parents file the petition for you. It WILL NOT HAPPEN otherwise. (It's not guaranteed it they do, but if they won't, that's it. Period. Not gonna happen.)

You must include with your petition "A statement of the minor's character, habits, education, income, and mental capacity for business, and an explanation of how the needs of the minor with respect to food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and other necessities will be met."

If your being abuse a call to CPS might meet your needs better than emancipation which has a very low success rate and can take months

1-800-4-A-CHILD you will then be told how to reach an intake counselor in your area

If you become a ward of the court due to abuse and/or neglect, the court will decide where you live.
