Money Judgement Levy Against a Small Business in California
My wife lost a law suit on her business which is now an LLC, (at the time of the judgement it wasn't an LLC), and now she has revd Notice of Levy on her bank acct (Money Judgement) which is a very small business. It says they will garnishee her bank acct. Since the judgement was on her business dba a single business name and now that she is an LLC, can they do this?

Is there any way to stop this? And by the way she started paying teh person when she lost the judgement sneding them $50 bucks each month, so far just the past few months since. And the person did accept the payments.

What can be done about this? The paperwork is form a Judgement Recovery place, but it also says the Levying Officer is the Sheriffs Civil Divison. Should we call the Judgement Recovery place? Not sure what to do here.

Her small business is just that small, with less than 1 grand in the bank and the levy is for 6,000.

From what you say, it's the same business, just in a different form. The judgment debt didn't go away just because she formed an LLC.
