Texas Emancipation

Hi im writing on behalf of my roommate she is 16 years of age and does not live with her parents she works and pays her parts of the bills and she goes to school full time she wants to know if she could be considered for emancipation given the fact that her step mother is on permanent disability for insanity has suicidal ediations and her father is never home they can barely afford to live and never have food in their home given the fact of why she moved away. If it is possible given her scenario what things do we need to do to make it happen?

You post suggests that she is not presently able to support herself. If she's not self-sufficient and managing her own financial affairs, she's not a candidate for emancipation.

Then she can petition for emancipation, and see what happens. She can check with the county court to see if there are any standard forms for emancipation.
