Class C Misdemeanor
hi,
my husband who is studing MBA in texas has been charged class c misdemeanor by a fellow girl from the same college. we are worried that he will have difficulty to apply for a job later as it will be in his records. we browsed in the internet and came across deferred adjudication, deferred disposition and expunction. but we dint totally understand as how it works. we are new to this country and not knowledgeable about legal procedures here. we need to plea to the jp here within a week.we were told that we need t pay a fine. is that it? what are the options we have..? we dont want to go into trial and want to get over this as soon as possible. please suggest us what to do next? what do we need to do in order to get it removed from the record? we need ur valuable suggestion.we are in TEXAS.

Re: Class C Misdemeanor
He is charged with battery of a girl at college?
Sentencing options vary down to the local level, so he should discuss his options with a local criminal defense lawyer. In Texas, if he pleads guilty, to eventually be eligible for expunction (the removal of the offense from his record) he would need to get a deferred sentence.
