Re: Petit Larceny.. HELP
You should consult a criminal defense Attorney and discuss your options like diversion if available

Re: Petit Larceny.. HELP
NO! do not just walk into court and throw in the towel!! Your Mother would prefer you have a criminal record!? Jail on 1st offense is very unlikely but you do not want to go to court without legal help. Many Attorneys grant free office visits go see one get yourself armed with knowledge

Re: Petit Larceny.. HELP
she still says i should just go plead guilty and thats it.. because she doesnt wanna have to go back again. and thinks it will be easier. and shes the one paying so idk what else to do...do u know what the charges would be if i did it the way she wants?

Re: Petit Larceny.. HELP
So neither you nor your Mother care that you will have a criminal record that will follow you for life. This could effect schools tha tmight accept or deny you jobs etc. Why not see an Attorney (for free) to get some information? Your Mother either doesnt understand or care how this will effect your future

Re: Petit Larceny Help
its gonna be on my record either way... if i DONT get the attorney what kind of charges will occur opposed to getting one?

Re: Petit Larceny Help
Your not paying attention are you!? If you talk to an Attorney (even for free) they can tell you about diversion. In most cases diversion acts like a guilty verdict with fines, community service etc but once you complete the program no conviction appear son your record! This means when you apply for College of jobs and they ask about convictions you can say no! Now you came here for help but your refusing to take it:wallbang:

Re: Petit Larceny Help
I told you what to do see an Attorney (many will grant an intial free office visit) the Attorney can tell you what you can do and how to request diversion. by the way the diversion should be discussed with DA before court not during
