Where To File For Emancipation

I couldn't place this under a state sub-board because that's part of my question.

When filing for emancipation, my parents live in Jersey. I want to live in Florida, and already have a residence there, I'd be sharing with roommates, people I've known for years, who also live in Jersey and are moving down there.

Would I file for emancipation in Florida, where I would be living, or in Jersey, where my parents live ?

You file in the state you hold legal residence. Thats if that state even has a statute for the process

You file where you are, not where you want to be.
