    Guests in Possession of Alcohol
Hi, I was recently charged with underage possession of alcohol by my college. What happened was I invited guests into my dorm room and they drank w/o me knowing (i was in another room playing XBox). But they were caught and b/c it was my room I was charged with underage possession of alcohol because they are my guests and therefore my guests are me. So I was held responsible for them. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how to fight this? I am in the process of appealing the decision now. I am facing dismissal from school.
    ANY help is greatly appreciated!!!

You're appealing what decision - an administrative decision by your school, or a conviction in court? Do you have an attorney?

it's and administrative decision by the school. and i go before a council of 3 studens and 3 faculty members. If you have an attorney, he cannont speak only consult you via notes, so I do not have one?

Were you aware the alcohol was in your room? Unless they snuck it in and concealed it from you, you WERE technically in possession in your room.
