Attacked at a Bar
Newport Beach, CA
This is an exact detailing of what happened, I'm wondering if I have a case to pursue damages.
At around 1:15 am, I walk past a billiard table inside of the bar and push the pool balls, I am already on my way out. I am asked to leave by the bouncer. I do not say a word, I continue walking with my head down right out the door, and in doing so, I knock over the pole that holds the rope in front of the door, this was an accident, as I didn't notice it until I pulled it over. The bouncer then runs out behind me, shouts "hey mother******", I turn my head and he punches me in the face from behind with a closed fist. My friends got in between us and we left. I then went to the police station, where I filed charges.
I would like to know if I have a case to pursue damages, and if I do, what steps can I take to strengthen my case to recieve maximum compensation?
Thank you.

Read the article and pay attention to the paragraphs regarding 'use of force'.
You should contact an attorney who is well versed in nightclub security.
