Possession of 11 Grams in Michigan

ok so lets see this all started by me doing 55 in a 35 on dix rd.

i got pulled over after just dropping a friend off i was smoking some pot with. happens to be when i dropped him off he left his pot in the back seat of my car. so the cop pulls me over 'it smells like weed were u smoking weed' me 'no'. anyways he says would u step out of the car then he puts me in the back of his then searches away next thing you know he finds weed on the back seat well on the floor in the back. then 5 mins later a drug dog comes searches rest of the car then im in jail over night talk to the judge in the morning plead not guilty to the offense. what i was wondering since this was my first offense and first 'crimnal thing on my record' what is probally going to happen because i have to go back to court on dec 12 and was looking for some advice

What is the exact charge against you? Is this a simple possession charge, or possession with intent? Do you have any priors? You're age 17 or older (and thus in adult court)?

it was my first offense Yes i just turned 18. but at the same time with that case they are doing a car accident with it from 2 weeks prior + the possesion and yes i believe it is just a simple case of poessesion.

You have two pending criminal charges from incidents a week apart? I suggest retaining a criminal defense lawyer to assist you. You should be eligible for "7411" sentencing on the drug charge, so be sure to discuss that with your lawyer.

well the accident is not a crimnal case no one got hurt or anything i just re-ened a car and the court date was set for the 12th to go see how much im going to have to pay for the ticket. then the possession happened on the 25th. wich in return im going to court on the 12th for both cases seperatly but on the same day/time. so what can i look foward to and do you think i can make a plea with the prosacuter about the 11 grams since it was my first offense and just get away with somes fines and probation?

As I indicated, you should look into 7411 sentencing - a deferment that can allow you to avoid a conviction.
