Privacy and Freedom of Speech
Can you tell me when a school system can legally go into a students internet account?
Also, how much evidence does a person need in order to win a lawsuit. If all documents support the plaintiff's claims against the defendant (ex. fraud, the plaintiff has evidence that shows that the defendant lied), does this automatically entitle the plaintiff to compensation or reward for damages under Fraud statutes?
Re: Privacy and Freedom of Speech
The answer to the first question depends upon the context. If you want to know all the rules in all the possible contexts, that's enough to fill a treatise.
To win a lawsuit you typically need (a) a valid cause of action and (b) enough evidence to prove all elements of that cause of action by a preponderance of the evidence. For some causes of action, including fraud, damages can be an element of the cause of action - when that is the case, if you can't prove damages you can't make your case.
