Suing a Minor
STATE: New Hampshire.
My son was 18 and girlfriend 17. Both wanted to buy a cell phone (Amp'd mobil) Credit history and adult was needed for phone purchase. My son offered to "Buy" the phone but gf was to have bill in her name and responsible for it. The bill went to her home (Father's house) but bill was in my son's name. GF admits phone was hers and using it, but not responsible for bill. Whom should my son sue for the $2,210.00 bill she ran up.

Re: Suing a minor
i hope the son has figured out that he should not put his name on accounts. i assume his credit record is now pretty low.
girlfriend is a minor...still? your SON, NOT YOU probably will have to sue her parents in small claims court. In fact, I'd probably would put all 3 names on the suit and when in court have it sorted out.

Re: Suing a minor
The fact that the defendant is a minor does not necessarily make the parent an appropriate defendant.
