My son is corrently held at Gates Correctional. While at Gates he has developed a severe back problem with pain that keeps him up for days at a time. This has been going on for months. The staff has given him a date of December 3, 2007 to see a doctor. We fear that this is a crippleing problem and he should be hosipatalized. Since the Department of Corrections wont help him, how do we get him help NOW! Not in a month when the damage may be untreatable.

If you're not happy with the DOC treatment plan (which wouldn't surprise me given that DOC's are notorious for delaying treatment and undertreating inmates) your recourse is to hire a lawyer and to try to get a judge to order earlier treatment, perhaps at your expense. You don't describe having any direct knowledge of his medical condition or basis to argue this as a medical emergency, so I'm not sure what basis you would have for bringing such a motion (on your son's behalf). Given that the time period involved is ten calendar days, it may not be possible to get faster access to medical care even if you find a sympathetic judge.
