Embezzlement Felony in Texas
I had worked for a big wireless company and I was terminated because I had violated company policy by crediting family/friend's account without justified reason. I had admitted to the crime, signed papers and was released without being arrested and was told these accounts would have to be paid back by the person/persons recieving the credit within a six month period. The estimated damage came out to be $1700 -- they agreed they would go back to double check to make sure some of the credits given were ligitimate (So really, I am not sure exactly what the charges could be...but I'm sure it's over $500). I don't believe I was formally charged, but was told they would have 5 years to press charges. It has been almost 2 years now and I have yet to hear from them. This is my first criminal offense, should I be worried? How likely is it that they will press charges? Please help! Any advice would be gladly appreciated.

If you repaid these amounts two years ago, and have heard nothing since, it is extremely unlikely that they are going to try to seek prosecution now.
