Want to Plead Guilty to Shoplifting Charge
I have wrote several posts on here. I have taken into consideration all of the advice that I have received and I am grateful.

I have decided that I would like to plead guilty to the charge, because I am guilty. I know that I could get a lawyer and they could lessen the charges, but by pleading guilty, would it be much worse than if I got a lawyer on my behalf? I do not want a diversion program, I would like to just pay the fines and move on with my life, police record or not.

I am a stay at home mother who made a STUPID mistake, a huge error in judgment.

I do not have the money to pay for diversion programs, we only have my husband's income and we struggle already.

I have shamed myself, my parents, and my church. I just do not want a big, long, drawn-out process.

By pleading guilty and just taking the punishment, how bad can in get for me?

If I were not guilty, I would get a lawyer, but I do not want to plead not guilty, when I know that I am.

I know that some of the remarks I get may be rude and that is fine. I am simply asking for advice and opinions.

    Thank you.

If your not going to get an Attorney (highly recommended) the talk to DA about diversion or other reduced sentences

    Wow!

You are an Honest person. It's very nice way to think. But unfortunately are court system doesn't really work the way one might think.

I don't know what you are charged with or if you have been in trouble before, but I agree, if you don't want an attorney and/or the court will not give you a free attorney, you should at least call the DA and ask if you could plead guilty to a lesser charge. I'm sure the DA wants it to go away as quick as you do.
