Assault Charges Were Dropped; Can I Get a Gun
I had an assault charge filed on me (domestic assault) back in 2000. I went to jail, but when I went to court I got deferred adjudification (however you spell it) and they told me if I followed their instructions the charges would get dropped because the supposed victim asked for the charges to be dropped. I completed all the requirements to get the charge off my record. Can I now buy a pistol?
Re: Assault charges were dropped Can I get a gun
Do you have any kind of proof that the matter has been dropped?
I would recommend you go to your un-named state law enforcement agency's website and find out how to run a criminal history check on yourself and find out what is on that record.
