I was wondering how I can get proof someone is infact emancipated. I feel like I'm being lied too.
Are there papers they can show, do they have a number? a web site that has their name, something?

If they have been emancipated by a court, they should be able to produce a copy of the court order.
Thanks for answering!
This girl came to me while on a web site. She at first told me she was 21, then told me she was 16 and emancipated (yea, fishy). We've been talking for a few weeks now, she seems to be genuine. Knows a lot, isn't some dumb little kid. We haven't talked about meeting yet, because I really don't want to meet someone that isn't telling the truth.
If she proves she is emancipated, am I allowed to meet this person? I don't want to break the law. I don't plan to have any relations with her for that is illegal. I just want to meet and see if she is who she says she is. Then go from there. From what I gather, emancipated minors can get married. How can this happen if it is not legal to meet or be in a relationship with one?

So a girl is trying to hook up with you through the Internet and has already lied about her age? What if you get there and it turns out that she's 13 years old, and a couple of Sheriff's deputies are there to nab you?
That's why I'm here asking questions. I'm not one to jump head first without knowing all I can know. And I'm not one to break the law. That's why I'm here, it's not like they send everyone a law book.
