    Emancipation law in Arizona
I live in Arizona and my mom kicked me out when I was 16 and has given me part of the child support my dad gave her. We were thinking of emancipation, but she said the law was I couldn't get emancipated untill I was 18. Well now I'm 18 and am getting no fianacial support from her or my dad. I am going to college and to fill out the financial aid form, they need my mom's tax info and stuff (along w/ mine) which minimizes the amount of financial aid I can recieve b/c they think she can contribute to my college tuition, and books and stuff. So unless I'm emancipated, her tax info counts and they think I have more money coming from my family than I really do. Basically, my question is-can I get emancipated in Arizona now that I'm 18 and how long will it take once I file the paper work. I just need help b/c I need all the financial aid I can get and I cant do that until they(whoever deal w/ the FAFSA forms for school)realize my mom and I are totally seperate-I work 45 hrs/wk + going to school full time. I have bills and stuff and I just need help getting emancipated.

    Student Aid & Emancipation
You are emancipated by virtue of your age. What you need to do is investigate with the school's financial aid office, how you can go about qualifying for aid when your parents refuse to support you and won't provide the requested documentation.
