Trapped by Mother's Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
5 years ago I was in chapter 13. My mom did a "buy for" on a mobile home so that my children and myself could get back on our feet. I have been out about 2 years. Now, my Mom is in chapter 13 and the mobile home was put into her chapter 13. However, the payments are not in hre repayment plan since I have always made the payments. I want to sell the mobile home but how do I get it out of her chapter 13 to do so? If the lawyer petitions the court to allow my mom to sell it to me how does that work? I still owe $31,000 and obviously don't have $31,000 to pay it off. My intention is to put about $15,000 into it within the next 6 months to get it down to a sellable price but I don't want to do that if I cannot get title to it!

    Refinance
Are there any other relatives who might do the same sort of side deal that your mother offered, prior to her own bankruptcy - that is, they finance the buy-out price and you make the payments?
