Finding Bankruptcy Help
Hello, I am new to this forum and to the world of debt and bankruptcy. I am hoping someone can help me. i am currently in debt from school and cc that i used to live off of at school. I am hoping that I do not have to file bankruptcy because I am so young. so here is my question (Finally): are there other options that I can look into besides bankruptcy? Any advice would greatly appreciated.

Bankruptcy
It is impossible to advise you without knowing a lot more about your situation, debt, future income, etc. Most student loan debt can't ordinarily be discharged in bankruptcy; credit card debt usually can, although the credit card companies recently got a law passed to make it harder. So you would want to make a list of your creditors and the amounts you owe them, and then figure out with a bankruptcy lawyer which of your debts are likely to be discharged in bankruptcy.
You can look into credit counseling, but that can do damage to your credit report similar to a bankruptcy. So you should probably be thinking about the option which most helps you move forward with the rest of your life.

Thank you for your reply. I am thinking more about the cc debt than the student loans. The student loans in comparison are not that much and i have a while and a low apr to pay them off. i did find some good info and even some alternatives. I think I will use that resource to soolve my problem. Thanks again for answering my post.
