Why No Child Support Payments if Paternity Is Known
Yes my fiance stated to me long ago that he had a son by his ex. He never really mentioned it much except the fact that he missed him and things like that. Well my fiance is currently on Parole. He did mention that a Paternity Test was completed long ago. But if one is on paper. like being on parole for instance. Wouldn't the state then come in an order one to pay child support especially if a paternity test was actually completed? He has never been ordered to pay child support. The mother still claims that he isn't my fiance's son. What to do?

    Re: Paternity Testing Question
If he is not the child's legal father, nobody has tried to establish paternity either by affidavit of parentage or through a court, and the mother has not sought public assistance, there would be no basis for the state to initiate child support proceedings.
