Furnishing Alcohol To a Minor at a Party
Hi my name is Jeremy,
This last Sat. night (10-27-07) I was having a party at my house in Oregon for Halloween. Every one was supost to be 21 and over. One of my good friends was having his 20th birthday party up on a logging road. They were all under 21, and the girls got cold. Every one was drinking, and they were all going to drive off the mountin. My friend called me and asked if there was any way that we could come get them, and bring them to my house so they would not drink, and drive, or go home, and get in trouble. My mom, and step dad, and a few other people that were sober went up, and got them. Brought them back to my house, where yes we to were drinking. We put them in the basement, and continuded what we were doing. The cops came for a bogus noise complaint. Every one over 21 was out side talking to the cops, and a smart ass minor cam out telling the cops that he was 21, and then gave him his ID that said he was 18. At that point the cops had two more cops show up, and just walked in to the house, and started serching it to find the other 6 minors in the basement. They went trough every thing and also arrested a few people to have there parents come get them. They gave me a furnishing alcohol to minors ticket, and the MIP's. Any one who showed up brought there own alcohol, and what I drank was my friends not mine so how can they say that I furnised them with alcohol when I did not buy any of the alcohol they drank?? Any question just ask, and any info will be helpful!!! Thank You Jeremy
Re: Furnishing Alcohol To a Minor
You are charged with furnishing alcohol to minors because it was your party, and there were drunk minors at your party. Get a criminal defense lawyer and see if the prosecutor buys the story that your parents rescued a bunch of drunk minors and put them in your basement on the night of your party.
