    The 1st Continental Congress...
Adjourned this day, Oct. 26, 1774, in Philadelphia. Held at Carpenters Hall from Sept 5th to Oct. 26.

Carpenters Hall is about 2 blocks east of Independence Hall, the cradle of liberty, where of course such historic documents as the Articles of Confederation, the Olive branch petition, Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of rights were adopted and signed.

CH is a "must see" on any visit to Philly.

You probably know more about US history then our congressmen. Where did you learn all this? Not bad for a man who graduated 3rd in a class of 2. HAHA

BOR - would you like/did you ever consider running for a political office? (at least a city one) Your posts sometimes make me think you would like to.

Oh wait, you need votes to get elected! :D (just teasing on that part)

What a coincidence. I went to Robert E. Lee High School, where I was voted most likely to secede.

    Reminds me of a joke.

A attractive female police officer pulled a man over for DWI (it was not me HAHA). She said, "Sir you are under arrest! Anything you say can and will be held against you. The drunk replied, "breast".

    Get it?
