OKay so I really want to get emancipated. I'm a lesbian and my parents know and are completely hompohobic. They keep making random comments about how gay peopl are wrong and it is really sad. My 8 year old sister asked my mom to paint rainbows on herr walls (cuz little kids like rainbows) and my mom said "I'm not going to paint rainbows on your walls because they stand for something that I don't support." I can't stand the way they are treating me. My mom wouldn't agree to an emancipation though, she likes to have control over EVERYTHING! My sister is 19 and she says that she will support me and I can live with her. I'm 14 and I live in California. What can I do?

Nothing. There isnt anything you said that supports emancipation and you dont even have an understanding of it. Emancipation is about "self" support. Living with your sister is not "self" supporting
