Idaho Emancipation
Hi my name is Brionna and I am 16 years old (17 in March). I currently live in Idaho and was wondering what the emancipation law in Idaho is. My home life is not horrible, but every day and night i get told that i will never succeed out on my own or in school or college. I would be so much happier if i could just move out.... but legal age i believe is 18. I am currently on a leave of absence for my job, but i talked to my boss and he said that i can come back whenever. I really do believe that i can prove them wrong but all they do is critisize me and nag nag nag. i cant take it anymore. I've had major break downs at school lately and i feel nothing but anger and mainly just depressed. If you could help i would greatly appreciate it. thank-you for your time.
Always,
Brionna

Re: Idaho Emancipation
Idaho has no emancipation statute. I see some authority which suggests that it is possible for a minor to emancipate, but I have not found anything which outlines the circumstances which must exist for that to occur beyond the suggestion that emancipation can result from lawful marriage.
