Neighbor Problems
Hello I am from Texas. I apologize up front if I am in the wrong category. I need help! I have a elderly neighbor whose daughter and husband has moved in with her! We live on a small cul de sac. My son was home from college and parked his car semi in front of her driveway. We had company over to celebrate him home. So needless to say cars were everywhere! She came and knocked on our door and asked if our car and I said I am not sure let me look. Before I got onto the sidewalk I told her sorry in advance if it was our car. Well sure enough it was. I said yes it is. She rudely blurted. "Well MOVE IT". Not saying a word I had my son move the car. She then commented that she has watched her mother take 10 minutes to pull out of her driveway because we normally park our truck in front of the circle. I told her Well she did not have to be so rude about the situation. She then proceeded to tell me I didnt care about her mother and told me to go to hell. Well I said something back! In my opionion if this has been an issue we were never told and second of all, We do not block her driveway for fear of our truck getting hit by the elderly mother. In front of our house in the cul de sac is a sign that reads no parking allowed. Mind you the elderly woman has bragged on several accounts that she had that sign put up before we moved in the house because of the other people that lived here. We have been parking our truck there for appx 2-3 years. We have an extremely small driveway that only holds 2 small vehicles and one large truck. Anyway the daughter called the police on us and we had to move our truck. Was told we were not allowed to park there. That whole weekend all she did was gripe and complain everytime we were outside of how she was going to put up shrubs and have the land surveyed because we were mowing to far over. (Didnt bother them when we mowed the yard for appx 5 years for free-being a nice neighbor because they were elderly) Its been 3 weeks later and now I am told by a neighbor that she called the cops on our car that is sitting in our driveway. We are getting the tags renewed to prevent anymore drama. I am told the car can sit there as long as the tags, etc are up to date. not sure if correct or not. She also told the neighbor she wants us to move! lol that aint gonna happen. This is only a small bit of things. She complains that I am out in the garage at 5:00 in the morning talking to loud on the phone! This is only the tip of the ice burg... For now I am trying to dodge bullets, but I am tired of her on my heels. What has been the battle with the mother for 15 years is now been handed down to the daughter against me. I am tired of being nice and trying to keep piece. Trust me there is 15 years worth of drama of how I was destroying our tree by cutting it in the back yard or how i was destroying the flower beds because I was taking vine off our brick wall. I want this to stop. I am tired of talking behind my back and them being on my heels. Any advise from you would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Neighbor Problems
In California, you car can be parked on your property w/ or w/out tags. As for no parking in the cul de sac... It is not allow here either. The vehicles have to be able to make a complete turn. As for the elderly woman, all she has it time... sorry to say... you have just become her new JOB! Either get a small car, park elsewhere or get her to like you again or at least keep the peace with you.
