Re: I need some answers fast
You r emancipation need be petition in the state you have legal residence. Sinc eyou now live in GA it would be that state however GA has no apparent statute for this process.
Re: I need some answers fast
Do you have a full-time job?
Do you support yourself 100%?
If not, then don't bother because you are not emancipated.
Re: I need some answers fast
You can read Georgia's emancipation law here. It requires a lot more than parental consent.

as i said b4 i'm already aware of this law and what i have to do..... i just want to kno when i get emancipated in Georgia, will my papers still be valid if move to florida?????????
Re: Planning to Emancipate
You do realize that only about 1% of all petitions are actually granted? Your chance sof a successful emancipation are very slim. So your question is will Florida accept you as an emancipated teen if GA grants you emancipation?
Re: Planning to Emancipate
Full faith and credit would apply; but that doesn't mean it will be easy to live in Florida, because (for example) landlords may not want to rent to you until you turn 18, or may require a cosigner.
Re: Planning to Emancipate
I would say that one percent is a generous estimate; based on the figures I've seen it's more like one tenth of one percent.

yes that is my question.....
Re: Planning to Emancipate
Ok so you want to know if FL is legally bound to accept your emancipation? That I could not say being as they have a statute of their own I would "guess" yes but I am unsure. Your first hurdle is the emacnipation itself as stated very very very very few are granted
