:confused:I have a very simple question. Why, by law does the NCP have to pay a certain amount of money every month,while the CP doesn't have to pay anything by law? People on wel-fare have to get a job after being on the system for so long so whats the difference. Yes I know children are involved but the system is very unfair. It's a very fair system for the CP. By why should the parent that never see's the children have to work their butt off to support his/her children but the parent thats with them 24/7 doesn't have to pay a cent. And I say that, meaning they should have to work!!! And if it's not a law how hard is it to get laws changed?...Yes I'm determained!!!!!

Do you even know the percentage of Welfare parents who get Child support? It could be very small. The CP care for child 24/7 food, clothing. shleter etc etc if NCP fails to make CS payment those needs still must be met. Your point is pointless. If CP parents is not working than Food stamps etc are required the system does require recipent to search for work and document that search. Furthermore in many states the time allowed to be on Welfare is 60 months in a lifetime! By the way the CP does pay just not with money, the time and trouble to comply with these programs is troublesome I know I was for a short time on Welfare. Its not a free ride as it once was. Parent(s) "must" attend classes fill out documents search for work etc or their monies are taken. The monies they do get are very small and hardly allow a parent and child to live a life of leisure.

The income of both parties is taken into account. In many cases the CP cannot work since they have to take care of minor children, disability, etc. If the CP is able to work, the court will impute an income. Each parent has the right to become the CP. The court awards custody based on the best interests of the child. Is it unfair? Not according to our society. Effective birth control measures have been available for many years.

It was her choice to take the children and support them without working to help provide for them. She NEVER has the kids, they are always at her moms or sisters and they are also in school. Therefore she sits on her tail all day and does nothing(not even clean her mom does it) while my husband works his butt off to support her and the kids...She needs to support herself. I KNOW my husband isn't the only one out there supporting their ex-wifes along with the kids where the money should be going. Not to get her hair and nails done!!! There should be programs out there(and there might be) to work with single moms to get a job during the time the kids are in school and to get her on HER feet to help support HER family. My husband didn't make these kids by myself. Therefore he shouldn't be the only one bringing in the money! The system is for the woman and always will. It's not 1950 anymore both parents have to work nowadays (unless one of them has a very high paying job)So if by law the NCP has to pay so should the CPQuote:

Sounds like a good arguement for change of custody. You don't need to change the law you need to use the current laws so childrens best interest is applied. Regardless your husband has a legal and moral obligation to help support his children.
