Straight Probation
I'm 17 and was put on probation until I turned 18. (Turn 18 May 3 of '06, sentencing was July 16 of '05.)
They put me on straight probation which is what I have a question about.
I want to know the exact difference between Deffered and straight probation...
I'm trying to sort out my options for possibly being released from probation early and I'm a bit confused. I've heard that on deffered you can get off on your halfway-point, is this the same for straight probation? I have completed all community service hours, payed off all fees, and gone through my outreach program that I was assigned.

Probation
A deferred probation usually means that if you successfully complete probation you don't get a conviction on the underlying charge. Straight probation would follow conviction.
Either way, if your probation officer thinks it is suitable to do so, you can be discharged early.

Thanks a lot. I was just wondering. I went to check in last week and I heard another officer talking about me and asking when I was getting off because she had been told like December.. Up until then I didn't evne know I could get off early.. lol
It's on my juvenile record.. so.. hopefully this won't trail me for the rest of my life.
