on october 2 i will be 17, i heard that at 17 you can just get up and leave without having to get emancipated as long as you have a job, still in school. i dont know if it is true, or not. but if it isn't what can i do to get out, and on average how much will it cost?

You heard wrong! If you leave against your parents wishes they can report you as a runaway and request Police return you home. Whoever you stay with can also face legal trouble. Emancipation in Florida requires your parents file the petition
