hi my names angelica and my family situation is not ideal. i know that theres no emancipation law in New York and that for me to be recognized as emancipated i need to already be independent from my parents. at 16 i can't have a full time job and right now i don't even have a job but even if i did how would i pay for an apartment? so what i'm asking is for any information on
how to get benefits from the state so i can be self-efficant and get recognized by new york state as emancaipated
any information in general about emancipation in NY because i'm kind of confused about the whole thing
all i really want to do is become independent from everyone because i can't deal with the instability in my home because its keeping me from being a normal teenager. i know that becomeing emancipated would be a huge responsibilty at only 16 and that it would take away from time with my friends and i wouldn't be able to mess up in school or party or anything like that but at least i'll have stability in my life and i can finally be happy.
