Runaway Accompanied By An Adult

I have a 13 year old girl that has run away from Oklahoma with a 24 year old male. They have traveled across state lines on bus. Can you tell me at what age a minor from Oklahoma can give consent to travel?

The 24 year old has committed a felony! Unless the 13 year old's parents gave consent a crime has ocurred

I unserstand that and so do you, however I am being told the US Attoney's office is stating she gave consent to travel..thus we can not file kidnapping charges....but I am thinking a 13 yr old has no right to give consent to travel..just looking for some help here.

This may be illegal under either Oklahoma law or the other state's laws, I expect both, even if (because, presumably, sex isn't involved) the U.S. Attorney's office does not see a basis for federal charges. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor, harboring a runaway, etc.

File a police report.
