I am looking for attorney who handles both criminal and immigration issues.
Is there anyone around who had similar situation in past ? I would like to really know what are my options ? Please, share some information as I am really worried.
One of the attorney who is a criminal and an immigration lawyer says that he will ask for PJC in my case and I will be fine as this is my first offence.
(1) What is PJC ?
He said by doing that after a year my charge will be dismissed.
(2) Does this mean I should not declare anything at the time of immigration ?
A PJC is a "Prayer for Judgment Continued", which is a finding of guilt without the entry of a judgment.
If you want advice about the effect of your plea deal on your immigration status, consult either a criminal defense lawyer familiar with immigration law, or consult an immigration lawyer.
