Minor Shoplifting
2 years ago in texas i got caught shoplifting when i was 14, now im 16 trying to volunteer at the hospital, will the crim background check get that, i pled no contest in the case, it was dismissed after probation, it was a class b misdemeanor, i was arrested fingerprinted, and went to court, i dont know alot about it. will this show up on a background check?

If it was dismissed (after probation) there should be no record of convictions

Thre is always the possibilty the dismissal of charges could show up on a background check. However most background checks are for convictions! If charges were dismissed there is no conviction!

and im also a minor, the dismissal should be completely erased when im an adult right, so it wont effect me applying for med school or anything for that matter right? thanks for your help panther

Most minor records are sealed but that isnt always the case so never assume!
