    What the????
Car Accident Lawsuit, But Plaintiff Wasn't Injured
A family member of mine is being sued for an accident that happen a few months ago. The plantiff is claiming injuries, pain and suffering, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life.

I'm not sure who is at fault (will ask later). But the suit seems frivoulous. When my family member got into the accident, she happened to have a diposable camera in the car. When they started taking the pictures of plantiff car and their car, the person seemed a little worried. The photos clearly show nothing.

About the pain and suffering. The plantiff was pregnant at the time. My family member asked her if she was okay, she said that she was fine and that she was having a difficult time withe her high risk pregnancy (isn't her loss of enjoyment of life caused by that). My family members insurance agency viewing the photos in the investigation, that the lawsuit was frivulous. They are suing for $2,600+.

What should be done? Any Help would be useful

    Lawsuit over Car Accident
If your family member was insured at the time of the accident, your family member should turn the information about the lawsuit over to her insurance comany.

    They want money...plain and simple...

I am in that position now. Collision happened and I was going less than 15 mph. I rear ended other driver. Absolutely no damage to either vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was purturbed that I would not give her any info without a police officer. As soon as the officer arrived the passengers were all complaining of injuries and wanted to go to the hospital. When they found out what hospital they were going to, they all were claiming to be ok. The two that did not go in the ambulance are now suing for "supposed injuries" and pain and suffering. they want between 5,000 and 50,000 each. Their combined medical bills don't even total $5,000. They didn't even lose any wages, and have no property damage.

At the time of the accident, I was 3 1/2 months pregnant. I declined medical attention, as I was going to my doc. in a few days anyway. Now a year later I have a happy, healthy 7 month old boy.

We have also seen suspicious looking cars circling our neighborhood and slowing down in front of our house. At the time, we thought nothing of it, but now we think they were scoping us out to see what kind of home we have, and what kind of neighborhood we live in.

These people want something...they want money for nothing.

My feelings exactly. I am in the same situation as u only worse . The woman is suing me for $2million . My car was towed totalled and I suffered whiplash while the woman walked back to her car and drove away with a small dent in her car.

Can u please tell me what happened to the case? May not be specifics but at least something that I can learn from your experience. Did your insurance handle this summons? My liability at the time of the accident was at the minimum state liability

    Thanks
