Getting Rid Of Tenants' Problem Guests in California
There is a guest that frequents our complex on a fairly regular basis. He visits more than one unit when he is here. We have had two separate incidents where this guest has been in a fight either with another tenant or with another tenants guest. Police are called, they arrest him, but he's always back the next day or so. Without knowing this guests name and without knowing who he is actually visiting while here I have no idea how to get him 86'd from the property. The sheriffs told us that if he is in a tenants home they can not remove him unless the tenant says they want him out. I can lease violate the tenant that was in the fight with the guest but in all reality that does not solve my problem of ridding myself of the guest for good. If I lease violate all the people this guest visits, I know that it will cause tenant/mgmt tension that I don't care to deal with. Any suggestions? These fights happen in the middle of the night while I'm asleep so I am not out there to make an opinion or talk to officers and officers dont divulge information after the fact.

To be clear, you're another tenant? What's management's position?

Consult whatever lawyer your complex or management company uses, to see if there is any chance of getting a civil injunction against this person.
