    Probation Violation and Court Hearings
My boyfriend is currently in jail (has been for 3 weeks now) for VOP for getting a reckless driving ticket and leaving the scene of the accident.

He was arrested by the county in which he lives in (Baker) and was transported to the county that put him on probation (Duval). He had court in Baker the day after he was picked up by Duval. He did not go to court in Baker due to being in jail in Duval and also having a pre-trial hearing for his VOP in Duval on the same day at the same time. What do you think will happen in this situation? He has court on the 17th and will probably get out of jail for VOP. How can I find out if there is a warrant for his arrest for not showing up in court in the other county? Or can they put a warrant out for him if he is incarcerated? Also will Duval hold him in jail until Baker picks him up? His mother and myself have both contacted Baker county and told them he was in jail that he would not be showing for court. They told us that they had nothing on file for him to be in court. But we were sent court papers to be there.. We took the papers to the jail and also to the court and they still thought we were full of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This is in Florida...

    Re: Probation Violation
Baker County presumably knows why he missed his court hearing. If Baker wants him back in court before he is released by Duval, they will probably transport him back for the hearing(s). He can contact Baker County to find out whether he has any pending court dates and, if he gets out before the next date, he can go to court himself.
