The Law For Shoplifting in Washington State
Would you please tell me the law for shoplifting in Washington State? I am wondering a best bargain which will not influence my immigration status with the prosecutor. Anyone has an idea? Would you please let me know? Thank you so much.

You can review Washington's theft laws here. The facts of the offense and amounts involved can affect what offense is charged.

It's 3rd degree theft. What would be the best sentence for it? Or what can I negociate with the prosecutor? Thank you all for quick reply.

These are things to discuss with your Attorney although I would think diversion (if available) would be your best option

I heard that there is no diversion programme for it. Is it possible to reduce the charge to infraction or something else which won't influence immigration status?
