    Statutory Rape and Blackmail
i have a problem, or i should say my wife does, we separated last year and she had relations with a 15 year old, she was 22 at the time in Georiga, shortly after she was pregnant, could be mine, may not, but the mother of the 15 yr old knew about it the whole time and when my wife discoverd she was pregnant we sat down and talked, i am rasining my 3 month old as my own, no dna test was done, and now the mother of the 15 year old is say that if we dont allow them visitiation then they will press charges and put my wife in jail, now my question is, isnt the mother party to it also since it happend in her house and she knew about it for over a year and is only now threatening because i wont let them near my son, also there is the question of black mail. I am in the military and hold a security clearance and she is black mailing me with these charges against my wife which may or may not be a threat to national securtiy, i am grasping at straws right now as i want to protect my wife and son and get these people out of my life, what can I do?

you might want to take a minute and read the laws on that page. It seems they take this kind of thing very seriously in Georgia. I believe I read something like "not less than 10 years in prison" for a person of your wifes age and a minor.

even if the mother of the child or the child were guilty of anything, that would not diminish the crimes your wife engaged in.

You think you are that important? Known several folks with very high security clearances. They would not think of protecting another from a legit prosecution using the "national security" thing you are considering.

If you do, I would suggest we may have allowed our security to be known to the wrong party already.

What you should do is get a DNA test. If the child is the youngsters, it is proof of guilt. If it isn;t, at least it will be more difficult to prove as well as remove the true reason the others are making all this noise. If it is the other persons child, he is entitled to visitation of his child.

even if he is the father unless he is legitimized by the mother in the state of Ga he has no rights to the child, and since we are married I am automatically legitimized as the father since she didnt say any different. since they are not married and he does not have custody there is little to nothing he can do about it with or with out dna since he is a minor and unable to take custody anyway. but that is besides the point.

Who told you this? The father can file for paternity. If the parents of the boy file a complaint against your wife the police can obtain a DNA sample via a warrant. If he is the father, the DNA will be evidence against your wife and she will be prosecuted for Statutory Rape. If found guilty the boy will end up with custody.
