Expunging or Sealing of State Jail Felony
I recently pled guilty to POCS under 1G. Of course when I recieved the felony I didn't realize the ramifications. I don't think many do until it's too late. What I was wondering is when and what can I do to seal my records? My mom has a friend who's brother got his expunged I think. Is it possible? It's my first offense.:wallbang:

You cannot expunge or seal a conviction in Texas unless you first obtain a pardon. (Expunction is available following a deferred sentence for a Class C misdemeanor, and sealing is possible following a waiting period in other cases involving deferred sentences.) Pardons are rarely granted in Texas.

So then I'm pretty much screwed if I stay in Texas? It seems our state is one of the hardest on drug felonies. Is Oklahoma better or is it going to be like that no matter where I live?

The only place you can get a pardon or expungement for a Texas criminal offense is Texas.
