    Employer not paying overtime
    hi,
i worked with employer for 15 months and left with one day notice. He is not paying my over time for 2 months. he said i did not give him one month notice. I did not leave asignement in the middle. I finished my project at client site till the last date and decided to leave company.

My original contract with company says that i have to give one month notice.

Can he held that againt me for not paying me over time?

i read virginia state law which says that employement is at will. is his contract legal which asks me to give one month notice ?

should i go ahead and file complaint to department of labor againt them ?

    regards,

    Employer's Refusal to Pay Overtime
Whether or not you gave the contractual notice, he still has to pay you in accord with the state's wage and hour laws. So go ahead and file a complaint.
